Our agency is led by its two partners, Pedro Reissig and Adrián Lebendiker, together with a transdisciplinary team of thinkers and doers including chefs, nutritionists, food engineers and technologists, communicators and other allies of the edible universe. Our base of operations is in Buenos Aires, with a satellite office in NY.

Pedro´s work explores the relationship between form and structure with a design strategy he calls Techno-morphology, where Nudo Design, Vacavaliente and now deMorfa are born from. His career integrates academic rigor with design practice, publishing regularly in specialized and general cultural media. He is a researcher and/or professor at several universities (UBA in Bs. As., Parsons/NewSchool in NYC, UNISG in Italy), founder of the Latin American and North America FD networks www.lafooddesign.org , www.fdna.org and creator of the platform www.fdxe.org. His interest to see his own ideas come to life led him from the beginning to have an entrepreneurial spirit, evidenced from his first design and production workshop in NYC to the creative projects he is developing in different parts of the world. His designs have achieved international recognition with presence in over 30 countries, from the MoMA Store in NYC to the Mori Art Museum in Japan.

Adrián has been founder and director for 8 years of the Metropolitan Design Center (CMD) of the City of Buenos Aires. After that experience he co-founded and directed Dynamica, a program for the creation and accompaniment of ventures, financed by the IDB-MIF. From there he developed an intense activity of promotion and project management (www.gloc.com.ar) that interweaved the traditional disciplines of design and cultural / creative industries with the management of new ventures, innovation, urban revaluation, the updating of practices and theories of design and community outreach, building interdisciplinary teams and public policy programs for that purpose. In recent years he has participated in the implementation of "Laboratorio de Sabores", a project of innovation and co-creation of food with small rural producers, thus venturing into Food Design.

La Ergonomía del alimento es el know-how que permite aumentar el performance y disfrute de las distintas partes del cuerpo que participan en el proceso de comer (manos, boca, esófago, estómago, intestino), mejorando así la experiencia total y resultado final. También considera factores ergonómicos del producto previos al comer (almacenamiento, preparación, dosificación, etc.) haciéndolo más amigable y lógico.

La Producción del alimento está caracterizada por una necesidad de eficiencia y lógica en cada paso concebible de la cadena de acciones que recorre. Esto se aplica tanto en la producción directa de materia prima como en su procesamiento. Comprender la complejidad de factores que interactúan al dar una forma específica a cada alimento es esencial para poder optimizar su proceso productivo y minimizar su impacto ambiental.

En la Identidad del alimento intervienen múltiples factores, principalmente su forma y sabor. ¿Qué seria de la pizza sin su icónica forma de porción triangular? ¿Un pancho o hamburguesa, tendría el mismo sabor si tuviera otra forma? Cada vez más el alimento se convierte en parte de nuestro paisaje y cultura visual, sobre todo a medida que el comercio y estilos de vida contemporáneos se funden e influencian entre sí.

Food Design Products (edibles and experiences)
With respect to design proposals, we have a wide repertoire of concepts, experiments and prototypes, ready to be taken to production and market. We are open to alliances with companies producing and / or marketing food, to join as partners in these new ventures, or to license / sell our designs. The market niches that we have visualized for these new businesses include:
- Concept food for testing and positioning
- Edible products for gifts (museum stores, gastronomic tourism, etc.)
- New products to expand or create new categories.
- Improvements in functions and meanings of existing products
- Ideation in gastronomic proposals (restaurants, catering, etc.)

We specialize on design and development of food souvenirs (brand, event and place merchandising) with edible products for retail, promotion and experiential use for museum and design stores, gastronomic tourism, etc.

Adrián ha sido fundador y director durante 8 años del Centro Metropolitano de Diseño de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. Luego de aquella intensa experiencia co-fundó y dirigió Dinámica, programa para la creación y acompañamiento de emprendimientos, financiado por el BID-FOMIN. A partir de allí, desarrolló una intensa actividad de promoción y gestión de proyectos que entrelazaron las tradicionales disciplinas del diseño e industrias culturales y creativas, con la gestión de nuevos emprendimientos, la innovación, la revalorización urbana, la actualización de las prácticas y las teorías del diseño y la divulgación comunitaria, construyendo equipos interdisciplinares y programas de políticas públicas para tal fin. En los últimos años ha participado en la implementación de “Laboratorio de Sabores”, un proyecto de innovación y co-creación de alimentos junto a pequeños productores rurales, incursionando de esta manera en el food design

El interés de Pedro en Food Design refleja su creencia que la práctica y la educación se benefician mutuamente. Sus investigaciones y proyectos abarcan 20 años de interés en la tecno-morfología, una estrategia innovadora para el diseño, con obras presentes en más de 25 países y en lugares como el MoMA Store. Formado como artista y arquitecto, con un Doctorado en Diseño, la búsqueda de Pedro en ver sus ideas cobrar vida lo han convertido en un emprendedor del diseño arraigado en el rigor conceptual nudodesign.com.
